Alicia Hendrix
The April DAISY Award winner is Alicia Hendrix of 3 East. Alicia was nominated because of the compassionate care she gives every day. Last month, there was a particular case that involved a difficult patient who was confused and violent. Alicia was able calm the patient and prevent him from hurting himself. She went the extra mile in discussing the patient’s pain medications with the physician, which may have impacted his combative mood. Her commitment to quality care and the patient’s safety make her deserving of this month’s award.
