Amkha Lovan

As soon as Amkha introduced herself to me she got right down to business.   She made sure to check my temperature every 2 hours, she entered my absolute comfort and she made sure I received 4 doses of antibiotic (as I am GBS positive).  She didn’t do anything without first explaining it to me and making sure I understood.  When it came time for me to deliver my baby, Amkha was encouraging and helpful.  She made me feel confident in my ability to deliver my baby.  Once my baby was born, Amkha stayed past her shift and worked overtime to care for me and my new baby.  She took the time to show my boyfriend and me how to bathe and diaper her as well as properly swaddle her when it was time for me to move to the mother baby unit.  Amkha helped me in the restroom and then personally escorted me to my recovery room.  Amkha went above and beyond to care for me and my new baby and I am very grateful.
