Ashley Guimond

Ashley Guimond is a valued member of the 4NE team.  She is a strong clinician and a great role model for other staff members.  She has a positive attitude, is always cheerful and willing to help in whatever way she can, putting the patient’s needs first in her daily care.  Ashley does an awesome job as a flex nurse.  One colleague commented, “I was tied up in another room when a post-op patient arrived.  When I got here, Ashley had him all settled and oriented to the room, vitals done, tucked into bed and sipping ice water.  She is awesome!”  On another occasion, Ashley advocated strongly with physicians for a patient who was in considerable pain and had a poor diagnosis after surgery.  She was able to intervene and get the patient’s pain under control as well as providing compassionate and soothing interventions for the patient’s emotional distress.  She involved the medical team and the patient’s family and then communicated the plan to the rest of the nursing team.  Ashley always does a wonderful job with complicated patients who have a variety of physical and emotional needs.  She truly goes above and beyond caring for our patients.
