Beki Peck

When we come across people who have a passion for helping others, it reminds us just how important it is to take care of one another. A recent example of DAISY winner Beki Peck exemplifies this.

One of Beki’s patients nominated her for outstanding care and attention to detail. After being scheduled for discharge, Beki’s patient and her family had concerns about the discharge orders and asked to speak to the doctor. Without pause, Beki located the doctor on his rounds and made sure the patient’s family discussed the necessary information. As the day progressed, Beki noticed the patient was not well and would not be ready for discharge that day. Her attention to detail helped her patient remain in the necessary care she needed. In the words of her nominator, “she helped above and beyond her duties … she is smart, efficient, kind and helpful. Thank you, Beki.”
