Brigid Meeks

Brigid was nominated by the wife of her patient:

We prayed for God’s help and the best possible medical care; Brigid was the answer to this prayer. Her exceptional clinical skills and quiet strength made the absolute difference for us. To our family, Brigid has been our guardian angel. It would be my prayer that anyone choosing the nursing profession would have her compassion and dedication for encouraging and caring for patients. These attributes are so important to get each patient back to good health; just as Brigid did for my husband. Even though he did not always want to walk or do his breathing exercises, he would do them for Brigid because of his trust and respect for her. She gently pushed him and took the time to care. Brigid is extraordinary and a great role model for other nurses.
