Candy Bailey

"Candy has taken care of my Mother for the past four days and she has been so wonderful. She was caring and compassionate and went the extra mile to make my Mom comfortable and loved. My Mom has been sick for 10 years and we have been in and out of hospitals and she has had good nurses before, but never any like her. I hope she is rewarded for the job she does not only for my Mom but my Mom’s roommate as well."

I don’t think there is any one thing about Candy that is not special; she is always happy, team worker, caring and an all around good nurse. She takes her break time with her patients to make sure their care comes first. She is one special person and nurse.

Nomination from a nursing employee: 

I would like to nominate Candy Bailey for the DAISY award. 

We received a new patient that was not doing well. Within 30 minutes, she assessed the patient, recognized the seriousness of the situation, and asked for help so she could stay at the patient’s bed side. The patient was transferred to a higher level of care then straight to cath lab for emergency stenting. She truly showed many characteristics deserving a DAISY award. She utilized her critical thinking skills, she was a patient advocate, listened to the patient, and was compassionate and caring. She always puts the needs of the patient first. 

She made a difference in the life of a patient today, calmly, professionally, and with a great attitude!
