After months of caring for a particular patient, Carey noticed that her demeanor started to change for the worse. Quick to think, Carey took it upon herself to gift the patient with a CD player and a few audio books, hoping that might bring her cheer… and it did. “One token of thoughtfulness brought this patient so much joy and happiness,” Carey’s nominator said.
