The husband of Carrie's patient wrote:

“On Dec 27th, my June Bennett (my wife), experienced a seizure and a severe drop in heart rate. EMS responded quickly to transport her to RMC Emergency Room. I want to commend all the nurses, care-givers, EMS, Dr Scott Carroll, but I was especially impressed with Carrie. She exemplified commitment and profession skills. She knew where everything that was needed was located. Moved with ease and great skill with the IV”s, the heart monitors, and everything the DR ordered. She and the team did everything possible to stabilize June, but she (June) had too many physical problems to resuscitate. Then Carrie consoled us with tender compassion.”
