Charity Basey
In early July 2010, I was admitted for emergency gallbladder surgery. My husband was in Afghanistan. And I was visiting my family in Indiana with My 1 and 5 year old kids. I had to leave the kids with my mom, and was alone in the hospital for most of my 4 day stay. Charity Basey, my nurse, went above and beyond by repeatedly trying to contact my husbands commanding officers to get him home to help me post-op. She was truly concerned with my well being, and tried everything imaginable to get him back in time. I will never forget her, she made a miserable time so much better for me and my family, and I will always be grateful for her. |
