Charlene Welker

She was meant to be a nurse. She wears her heart on her sleeve. The compassion she has for her patients is remarkable. You can see the care and concern in her eyes when she is talking about her patients. A family member once said, “I can see your concern about my mother in your eyes”. I thought that spoke mountains about her.

She is warm, caring, a good listener, a hard worker, a patient advocate, a genuinely good person all the way around. She is someone everyone wants on their team. There is not enough that I can say about her to get my message through of how important she has become to this unit. I’m very grateful she is a part of us.
