Clarissa is an outstanding nurse and highly valued member of the rehab team on 4 West and we are fortunate to have her.  She is universally respected and appreciated by patients, families and staff.  Her commitment to competent, compassionate care is clearly evident everyday-and this is particularly notable on a unit with challenging patients who have extensive care needs.  Clarissa is consistently called upon and steps up to be the primary nurse for some our most complex patients.  She maintains a positive attitude and calm presence even in the most difficult situations.  She is dedicated to fostering quality working relationships and contributes to a culture of respect among staff, patients and families.  She goes out of her way to observe therapy session to learn and to encourage her patients.  Clarissa brings a calm demeanor and a good sense of humor to an environment that really needs it!

Clarissa is organized, attentive to detail and the big picture of the patient’s care, great with collaborating with the team (PT, OT, SP, TR), is a good communicator, is compassionate and careing while also good with setting firm boundaries nd setting high expectations for her patients.  She has a good sense of humor and stays calm in stressful situations.  She is good at encouraging and mentoring patients.  She has patients clean and prepared for therapies.
