Clarissa Shoffner

Impressed by her warm, attentive and caring heart, Clarissa Shoffner was nominated by the son of a patient she had cared for.  His mother was a patient on the Telemetry unit where he was touched by the genuine compassion that Clarissa had for his mother.   Her kindness so moved him that, although his mother expired, he returned the next day to especially thank Clarissa and express his gratitude for her care of his mother.  He also left her manager a voicemail saying “you can just feel Clarissa’s energy; she’s very compassionate, very concerned, and very attentive.”  He went on to say that when his mother needed to go to Radiology for a procedure that Clarissa went with her to ensure that she continued to be well cared for and relieved of any pain. He continued to express his praises of Clarissa by saying that “she was the best. She was better than the best.  She was like an angel that God sent.”
