Crystal Gladden, RN

Cardiac Division, Memorial Health Care System: Memorial Hospital

Chattanooga, Tennessee

Crystal is the “unofficial roving charge nurse” for the Cardiac Division of 100 North, 100 Central and the CTSU. She fell into this position because of the continuous need for a float nurse within the division who had superior clinical skills and great ethics. Crystal is one of the kindest, most compassionate nurses I have ever met- nothing is too big or too small for her. Whether it is a dressing change, giving a bath or managing the unit in the nurse manager’s absence- Crystal does it all with a smile. Her true passion is patient care which is evident in every encounter she has with a patient or patient’s family. Everything Crystal does is done well and with a grateful heart. The Cardiac Division has become a stronger, more cohesive division because of the compassion and expertise that Crystal brings to work everyday. I am so thankful to work side by side with a nurse of her integrity. Crystal is a well deserving candidate for the DAISY Award for extraordinary nurses.
