David Mrozla, RN, Psychiatry, Sandford Health – Fargo, is very deserving of the DAISY award according to the co-worker that nominated him:

“David is reliable, responsible, brings practical reasoning and a great sense of dedication and humor to the workplace. His forte is in de-escalating agitated patients while respecting their rights and being honest and forthright in laying out expectations. David is compassionate and sensitive to patient’s needs especially with geriatric patients. Another great skill is teaching. David has exceptional patience, knowledge and encouragement in precepting new staff, nurse co-ops and coworkers. David’s communication skills demonstrate confidence, respect, calm, common sense and acceptance for where one is at with their skills and knowledge. David is a leader in assisting with computer use, teaching new information, crisis intervention and lending assistance whenever and wherever it is needed. To top it off, David is just an overall good guy and a joy to work with especially with his humor which brightens the day and brings smiles and laughter to all.”
