“Ed was caring for a dialysis patient that was confused, agitated, and upset. He was holding his patient’s hand with one hand while cleaning his patient with the other. He was nonstop the entire shift to provide compassionate care to this critically ill patient especially when the Rapid Response Team arrived. Ed continuously communicated with his patient who had suffered a Grand-mal seizure as well as the staff to coordinate care. He not only responded to his patient’s clinical needs but he remained calm, caring and respectful while managing his transfer to the unit with staff".
