Edith Porter

Edith has so many positive attributes that it is hard to imagine she is only one person.  She is intelligent, experienced and willing to share that knowledge and experience.  Edith is energetic and a diligent worker.  When she is resource, she does all she can to assist as needed.  When she needs to, she stands behind us.  Over the years she has been instrumental in many nursing committees and involved with shared leadership.  She takes care of patients serving as a role model and leads by example! 

She is compassionate, caring, kind and gentle.  She was called once when she was resource with a concern that needed immediate attention.  She was at my side to help in a matter of seconds.

Just as most mothers, she has concerns and responsibilities at home, but she never shows it at work.  Edith is a strong Christian and true to herself and her beliefs, but open to what others feel and believe. 

I can think of no one more deserving or qualified to be classified as an “Extraordinary” nurse than Edith Porter!
