Being an employee, I found it quite difficult being on the other side of things when I had my knee surgery on. My PALU nurses were great however; Ellen really went above and beyond. When I experienced severe nausea following surgery, she exhausted all options and ideas in an attempt to make me more comfortable. Several antiemctics, an experimental herbal remedy from an anesthesiologist, and one nerve block later, I felt much better and this was all thanks to Ellen who patiently dealt with my complaints while assuring me I was no bother. She kept my family up to date regularly while caring for me all the while. Her kind hearted demeanor and friendly, caring personality kept me calm during this ordeal. She was very knowledgeable and experienced as evidenced by her care and teaching.
