Emily Halpern

Emily is a team player on 8 Stone but there was one particular patient that she really went above and beyond for and I feel it should not go unnoticed.  It was an overnight shift and there was a fairly completed patient admitted to 8 Stone who presented with fever and nausea/vomiting.  The patient was having low blood pressure throughout the night and Emily would update our team with the information.  Emily also informed the team of urine output changes and went ahead to get the bladder scanner to see if the patient had any residual.  She was very empathetic with the patient and their family as well as professional during the night.  She is a team player who not only focuses on patient centered care but uses her critical thinking skills.  She really exemplifies what it means to be a great health care provider.
