Gaby Kaufman

I have worked with Gaby for many years at CHOA and DCMC and watched her grow from an excellent, hardworking CA into a strong, brilliant nurse.  Gaby has consistently kept a positive attitude and wonderful work ethic throughout staffing droughts, killer days on the unit, and heartbreaking patient moments.  She is an amazing coworker always willing to take whatever is thrown at her, and willing to help whenever needed, all while keeping a smile on her face.  She keeps up with every new protocol or initiative started on the unit without fail.  The other nurses joke that she should teach a time management class because she always gets her work done and done correctly. Patients and families love her because she is a knowledgeable and patient teacher and they feel they can trust her with their child because she is so caring and forthcoming with information.  We have a ton of wonderful nurses on our unit and I love them all dearly, but if I could staff the unit with clones of Gaby, I would!
