Grayton Schultz – Adult ICU

There are so many nurses that our family is grateful to, but one particular nurse I would like to recognize for the DAISY Award is Grayton. "Gray" provided a sense of comfort to a family that was overwhelmed, emotional, and frantic over the critical condition of my brother. There were literally 20 or so family members camped out in the ICU waiting room at 12 midnight. Gray went out of his way to keep us well-informed. He held our hand through the entire dreadful night. Gray really understood the importance of putting the family's needs first when our loved one was in surgery. He truly not only took good care of my brother, but he took amazing care of a very large family. His compassion and ability to go above and beyond for my brother and family is exactly what the Daisy Award is all about.
