Ingrid Hires

Ingrid Hires is an exceptional nurse.  I have observed her nursing practice over many years and she goes above and beyond on a daily basis.  She takes care of each patient and family as if they were her own family members.  She treats every patient with a gentle touch, kind words, patience and nursing excellence. She has a calm delicate manner about her that is not something that can't be taught.  It puts families, patients and her co-workers at ease.  She is wonderful with families.  She is an avid listener, wonderful teacher and always includes them as part of the team. 

Ingrid has also been exceptional with teaching new staff.  Anyone who works with her practically begs to be with her again.  She is a natural teacher and role models the best in nursing care.

What I love best about Ingrid is that she does all of this with total modesty.  She comes to work everyday with a smile on her face and provides exceptional care to her patients and is an amazing team member in the CICU. It is an honor to work with her!
