Ives Cabezas
From the son of Ives' patient: Please accept my nomination of Ives Cabezas, RN, for the DAISY Award. Ives cared for my father on the last two nights of his life on the Four North Unit at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. Her extraordinary kindness, gentleness, and compassion were remarkable. Ives provided superior nursing care to my father, while monitoring his condition on an ongoing basis. She was always respectful and responsive to my concerns. Ives ensured my father’s comfort, and was a source of solace to me during my overnight stays. She partnered with the Nursing Supervisor and other nursing staff to provide the optimal level of support to my father and myself during this life-changing time. Ives is truly an asset to the nursing profession, as she was to my family. I will be forever grateful that she cared for my father during his final hours. For these reasons, I hope you will consider Ives for the DAISY Award. |
