Jaime Shields
Jaime had a very heavy team recently, but spent much of her night with a patient that was very near death. She was able to help the patient's wife come to terms with his terminal condition. The patient’s wife chose to make him a DNR and wanted to keep him as comfortable as possible. Jaime notified the physician and obtained the DNR order. She spent a great deal of time not only consoling and educating the patient's wife, but also doing everything in her power to keep her patient comfortable. The care that she provided to this family is just one of the many examples of Jaime's compassion.
