Jayanna Dussart

Jayanna is a wonderful MS charge nurse and patient advocate.

She readily and easily goes above and beyond every single shift in which she works. She remains calm and professional regardless of the chaos around her—invoking calm in her staff. The unit runs quite smoothly when she is here. She is able to think outside the box, helping redistribute patients as indicated to continue patient movements within our facility. She considers all she comes in contact with during her shift as part of her team, including her nurses and techs, dietary, housekeeping, house supervisor, maintenance and security-her team works with her and she works with them in order to do what is right for the patient. With difficult situations, she addresses them head on, advocating for the patient as she listens to their concerns, suggestions, fears and hopes. She also advocates for her staff making sure they have what they need in order to do their jobs effectively.
