Jenna Sage

We are nominating our co-worker, Jenna Sage, for a DAISY Award because of the love she exudes daily in the care of her patients.

One of her patients had a birthday that day and remarked to Jenna that she was saddened because her family was unable to be with her on her birthday. She further explained that she was going for a cardiac procedure the next morning and she became very frightened about the procedure.

Jenna quickly re-arranged some flowers into a smaller vase and took the flowers to the patient's room, presented them with a big smile and a "Happy Birthday!". The patient was overwhelmed and her tears turned to tears of joy.

Jenna took the time to show us all what an extraordinary nurse can do with a little imagination. She has an enormous capacity for compassion and we feel she is a true blessing to have on our team.
