Jennifer Cleveland
Jennifer took care of a patient who had fallen into an icy pond and was subsequently put on ECMO due to injuries/issues brought on by this incident. While he was on ECMO, Jennifer showed compassion and care that touched his family’s heart. She continued to talk to the patient and encouraged his family to do the same. Each time she assessed the patient, bathed the patient, brushed his hair or teeth, she told him what she was doing. She continued to be his “cheerleader,” telling him how awesome he was doing. This patient and his family will remember the compassion that Jennifer showed for the rest of their lives.
