Jodi Spale

We would like to take a minute of your time to extend our appreciation of your staff during our son's birth. Your entire staff of nurses and other support personnel was outstanding. All of our wants and needs were met with caring and personal service. We would like to also make you aware of our extraordinary nurse Jodi Spale. Jodi met us at our labor and delivery room door at 7:00am for the start of our induction. From the beginning of her shift to the end she displayed utmost professionalism and competency. During our time of care she was also mentoring a young nursing student from Creighton. As a teacher myself, it was clear that Jodi was making a positive contribution to the field of nursing by educating this student. She was patient and kind as she guided the student through the process.

Once we got acquainted with her, Jodi facilitated great rapport between us. This helped put us at ease and build trust between us. We shared personal stories, jokes, and lots of laughter through the process. We’ve heard from other young parents that your nurse can make or break your labor and delivery process. We can definitely say that our experience was fabulous as a result of her hard work, determination, positive attitude, and professionalism.

We often hear commercials for Methodist Hospital along with your slogan, “the meaning of care”. Jodi Spale is a fabulous example of the level of care your hospital provides. She optimizes meeting the needs of patients and their families. We feel blessed to have met her and worked with her through our son’s birth.
