Karen Amos

Karen is a dedicated psychiatric nurse who brings caring and compassion to her job every day.  She is conscientious in her care of patients, forward looking in terms of their needs and proactive on their behalf.  Karen keeps safety in the forefront for patients, staff and visitors.  Recently, Karen took care of a volatile elderly man, meeting his needs for food, fluids, medications and safety with patience and kindness.  She listened attentively to his repeated stories and made connections with him so that he felt safe and comfortable on the unit.  This level of caring is Karen’s norm and I am proud to be her co-worker!
