Karen Woods

One of Karen’s patients had this to say about her:

“From the moment I entered the pre-op room and met Karen I was at ease.  She was so kind and caring!  I was so happy to be in her care.   She was very calming and told me everything that I should expect.  When the surgery was over and I went back to the post-op with Karen, she was extremely gentle and attentive.  She made sure I was not in pain and was resting, until it was time to get ready to be discharged. 

During the entire day, Karen kept in contact with my daughter by phone, updating her of my progress. 

I have had a few surgeries in the past, but I have never had a nurse so caring and kind as Karen was that day.  I recently switched my health plan to Kaiser in July and this was my first experience with the hospital and surgery department.  I have to say I was very impressed.  Everything was handled very professionally and smoothly.  I had no problems and very happy to have had Karen as my nurse.  I would hope every nurse was a caring and had the bedside manner that Karen possesses.  Everyone facing a hospital stay or surgery should be treated as wonderfully as I was.”
