Kathy Sokol

Kathy has taken her nursing education and experience out of its traditional role and allowed nursing to be present in the development and implementation of computer technology which is essential to healthcare today.  She is the liaison between the nurses and the IT technicians --- she speaks both languages and can translate easily from one to the other, so everyone understands each other’s concerns and expectations. 

Her continual dedication to serving patients led her to develop our Electronic Medical Record Committee, meeting with bedside nurses to continually work on process improvement within the electronic system.  Kathy is a great team player and typically answers a call for help with --“I’ll be right up”.
