Kayleigh Kamphuis

Kayleigh supports best practice in her commitments to excellence in nursing care.  She has been engaged in the Magnet process, as a leader of Clinical/Quality pillar, and unit-based shared governance.  Kayleigh rounds on her patients frequently (at least hourly).  Kayleigh is a lead nurse for Lovenox Peer Review project.  She has received many compliments from patients through the Discharge Call Manager system.  Key words patient’s mention include competent clinician, provides excellent care, compassionate, kind, polite, pleasant, understanding, and “always” checks on patients.  Kayleigh is helpful to co-workers and is viewed as a leader on the unit.  Kayleigh also receives many compliments from physicians and surgeons on a regular basis due to her excellent clinical and communication skills.  She is part of the new graduate residency program.  In a short time, Kayleigh exhibits unit leadership and meets all criteria for The DAISY Award.
