Last week a medic alert was activated in the middle of the night to the ED. It was then expressed ….Medic Alert LDRP. On that note, this nurse and other members of our team ran to the ED. When she arrived, a woman was indeed in labor and about to deliver her baby. Sensing the urgency, she quickly assessed the situation and decided it was safer to use a bay in the ED for the expectant mother. While the MD was on her way, she gently and professionally calmed the patient and her husband and prepared her for the birth of her baby. This nurse’s reassurance and gentle guidance assisted the MD with the delivery of a healthy baby. She  is a strong member of our night team and her nursing excellence made this a wonderful event.
