Kim Klur-Shealy

Kim is an incredible resource to the Operating Room, especially with regard to orthopedics.  When she sees some idea or initiative that would be helpful in the OR, she doesn’t just talk about it, she completes the project.  As a preceptor to new staff, she is thorough and supportive, poses clinical questions and looks for evidence to support best practice on behalf of staff and patients.  When Orthopedics moved to the Surgery Pavilion Kim stepped up to re-organize the pavilion C-Core.  She has also done things such as putting together a laminated phone list for nurses to use in the Main and Pavilion ORs and designed an information sheet for new staff working on night shift.  Kim is a resource for anyone and a support to everyone she works with.  She has the respect of all her colleagues.
