Kirstie Bullock
Kirstie was caring for a seriously ill child who was scheduled to have a test that required the patient to be NPO. The family was anxious about the timing of the test, since they did not want her scheduled rehabilitation and nutritional needs to suffer. Kirstie made dozens of phone calls to multiple physicians and technicians, over a 4-5 hour time frame, trying to get the test scheduled, questions answered, and tending to the increasing anxiety displayed by the mother, in addition to caring for her other patients. The amount of effort Kirstie expended on behalf of her patient/family truly demonstrates her compassion and her patient advocacy abilities.
