Kitty was nominated by a patient's family: “My grandmother had lung surgery, Kitty was her evening nurse the first day of recovery. Kitty not only made my grandmother comfortable and happy, she made her feel ‘at home’. My grandmother was so impressed with her happy attitude and her caring manner that she said she wouldn't mind being here the next day because Kitty was returning. She was treated as a person and not a number. Kitty was very supportive of us ‘her family’ and made us feel equally welcome.”
