Kristen Jakacki

My Father was admitted to your hospital and passed away there.  During his time at NW Community there was one nurse that gave outstanding care and compassion.  Her name is Kristen and she came from the float pool to 9South.  I was at the hospital the entire time that Dad was there and at the end of her long shift one evening Kristen came in and I asked if Dad could please get more of his meds to keep him comfortable and she took the extra ten minutes to get his meds, adjust him in bed, and make sure we had what we needed.  She could have easily turned these duties over to the next nurse but instead she stayed.  Kristen’s compassionate care, kind words, keeping us informed on everything that was happening, coming in to give Dad his comfort meds without being reminded and just listening and patiently answering our questions was such a comfort to me and my family. 

I hope that you will take a moment and recognize Kristen for all she does for the patients at NW Community and their families.  You are very lucky to have her on your staff and more importantly the patients are blessed to have her!
