Kristen Ochoa

Kristen has excellent clinical and critical thinking skills and is a strong leader for our 3rd shift. She is the primary preceptor on her shift and assures that new nurses are trained well. She is a member of our unit Professional Practice Council and researches EBP and assists in determining how we integrate it into our unit.

I have had numerous patients and their families compliment the care she gives them and is often requested by our patients to be their nurse. Her professional conduct is exemplary. She is an excellent role model and well respected by her coworkers. I feel she exhibits all the characteristics that the DAISY Award is meant to recognize.
