Kristen Westfall

Kristen is an outstanding individual who also happens to be an excellent nurse. We can count on her positive attitude and dedication to her patients and team. Kristen is committed to more than her immediate community, and has been on multiple mission trips to care for the medically fragile. In February 2009, Kristen left for Haiti with a coworker, former DAISY-Award winner Matthew Bouthillier. Matt suddenly died of cardiac complications, and Kristen was by his side to give care. Kristen is such a caring and compassionate person, you can imagine the emotions she experienced. True to character, Kristen stayed strong and supportive to others. She has been a great comfort to Matt's family members as well as a source of strength to her work family. Kristen is the first to selflessly honor and support others, and it would be wonderful to recognize this amazing person with the DAISY Award.
