Leanne Wellbrock

Based on my understanding of the events surrounding my son’s hospital stay, we have Leanne to thank for taking swift action and guidance towards a more appropriate diagnosis of his condition. We had spent hours in the ED undergoing tests and observation to understand why Dylan was vomiting and becoming lethargic. He was admitted to the pediatric unit for further observation and assistance in keeping him hydrated.  Leanne was quick to offer any assistance I wanted so that I could get some sleep.  She took Dylan to the nurse’s station with her.  A couple hours later Dylan began to vomit.  Leanne immediately came into the room, showed me his vomit and asked if it was consistent with similar episodes, which we affirmed.  Leanne indicated she believed he may have a blockage somewhere in his digestive tract.  She contacted the physician, stomach x-rays were ordered and Leanne quickly facilitated all of the subsequent stages to ensure Dylan was getting proper medical help and attention.  Thanks to Leanne we have a happy and healthy son who will continue to thrive.
