Lisa Hudson

Lisa is a shining example of an excellent nurse who demonstrates genuine compassion, empathy and clinical excellence for her patients and families.  She speaks to them with kindness and understanding and is committed to caring for both the patient and their family. She goes to great lengths to make sure the patient and family feel supported, listened to and a true partner in their care. I think one of Lisa’s greatest gifts is that ability to listen, be present and intimately understand the wishes and needs of the patient and their family. She is also a tireless advocate for her patients and does so with grace and respect. Lisa has been known to come in on her days off for family conferences and other critical times to support the patient and family.  Additionally, Lisa is calm and efficient and a great team player. She always willingly helps her neighbors even when she is very busy. Finally, Lisa has a very infectious positive attitude. She takes the initiative to convey a strong sense of advocacy in supporting quality improvement for the staff, patients and families.  No one is more deserving of this award.
