Lori Hopwood

My daughter, a cancer patient, is under the care of Home Health. She needed an IV for dehydration. Lori, not her regular Home Health nurse, was in the area and volunteered to come to the house, make sure the IV pump was on its way and to start the IV. It was about 9PM. My daughter has very limited veins to work with and Lori was very diligent and was successful with the IV. It took several attempts and each time Lori showed only care and concern for my daughter. On the final attempt & and it was good, Lori stated that she must have prayed a different way and got the IV going. It was a 2-hour IV and just before 11PM, Lori returned and finished the IV. Never was there any word of being tired or any negative feelings. It was all about my daughter and getting her better, and she was much better the next day. The kindness and compassion Lori put forth had a great impact on our family. Thank God for nurses like Lori.
