Lygia Dunsworth
Lygia Dunsworth is truly an asset to the nursing profession. She is the president of the Texas Nurses Association District 3. She is also our Risk Manager at Baylor. I routinely have meetings with Lygia and her advocacy for the bedside nurse truly is remarkable. When issues arise, she is "Johnny on the Spot" to seek a solution. She is always looking for a better way to do things, promoting sound policies and procedures and processes that work swimmingly. All the while, thinking what is not only best for our patients but what is also best for our nurses. She is a kind person with a great attitude that rubs off on anyone she comes into contact with. She is also very kind, always has a smile and a great antidote to make your day a pleasant one. I routinely see the great things she does for our hospital.
