Lynette Steichen

Lynette Steichen, RN, Medical/Surgical Unit, Sanford Health – Fargo is very deserving of the DAISY award according to her coworkers that nominated her:

“Lynette is a prime example of a DAISY nurse! Lynn makes it a mission of hers to find ways to improve the lives of others, whether it be a patient, coworker, friend or stranger. Her role is one of helping others and has participated in mission trips to Haiti. Lynette also assisted in organizing a benefit for a coworker diagnosed with cancer. In doing so, Lynette ensured a bank account was set up, spent countless hours filling out forms for matching funds, solicited donations for silent auction items and set up food delivery to the family. Another example of Lynette’s nursing skills is patient advocacy. Lynette was caring for a critically ill patient and was having difficulty convincing the physician of the need for the patient to be transferred to ICU. Lynn shared information with the physician calmly and constructively turning it into a win-win situation for all. Lynn is continuously giving of her time to help others, never expecting anything in return. We are blessed to have Lynette on our team.”
