Lynn Carter-Toler

The following nomination was submitted by a colleague of the honoree:

I have worked at Lane for almost 2 years. I have observed Lynn connect with patients and family members in their time of need over and over again. Recently, we took care of a patient who had taken an overdose. Lynn took the time to comfort and hold the mother’s hand. On the next day, Lynn visited the patient in ICU. Although the patient had been comatose the prior day, he told Lynn that he remembered her voice and her rubbing his head as she told him everything would be ok. Lynn comforted the patient and family in their time of need. Sometimes we get so busy and see so much that we forget what a huge impact being in the hospital can have on a person’s life. It is nice to work with nurses like Lynn, who constantly treat others with kindness and respect no matter what their circumstances.
