Margaret Osei
Ms Margaret Osei, RN graduated from Helene Fuld School of Nursing in 2005 and joined North Central Bronx Hospital as a Staff Nurse in the year 2006. Her consistency in practice of delivering safe patient care led to her nomination for the DAISY Award in the year 2009. Ms Osei assumes the Charge Nurse role for the 36-bed Medical - Surgical Unit In the absence of the Head Nurse. She has the admiration and respect of her patients, co-workers and supervisors. She role models a caring, polite, graceful, and professional attitude. Ms. Osei’s therapeutic touch exudes warmth and caring to all her patients. She is very conscientious, cooperative, and flexible while at the same time exhibits a keen interest in her work. She demonstrates enthusiasm and is always receptive to new ideas. Ms. Osei is always on time for her tour of duty and in most times works beyond schedule to ensure that the needs of her patients are met. She functions with a high degree of professionalism. To quote, patients say, ‘I wish she could be my nurse all day and all night.’ Furthermore, in pursuit of knowledge, she enrolled at Kaplan University and is expected to graduate in 2011 with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing. There is no doubt that Ms. Osei meets all criteria for the DAISY Award.
