Maria Aparicio
Maria had a very sick patient who's wife was away on a business trip when he was admitted. He had his sisters by his side and Maria took complete charge of caring for him and his sisters. When the patient passed away, Maria stayed and supported the family and answered all of their questions, guiding them through the next few hours until the patient was taken to the mortuary. Maria demonstrates great compassion in caring for her patients and is deserving of The DAISY Award.
