Marilyn Battiste, RN, Behavioral Medicine "Marilyn consistently shows compassion, concern, and selflessness toward staff, patients and their families. As a charge nurse, she is diligent making sure there is a cohesive, calm, and safe environment. Marilyn realized there was a need for family education on mental illness. On her own time, she spent many hours and her own money to research, print and assemble diagnosis information for folders to give to visiting families. Marilyn is also the chair our Shared Governance team and very active in reviewing patient care practices and encompassing evidence-based research into processes."
