Marlene Bellemare
The patient had small children at home and her husband was coming home from Afghanistan. This patient was determined to leave without a PICC line that was needed to receive long term antibiotics and was willing to sign out AMA. Marlene stepped in, called me in Case Management and we were able to arrange follow-up treatment on Monday. The end result was that the patient did not have to sign out AMA; she was able to leave appropriately and get follow-up treatment on Monday thanks to Marlene's diligent efforts. |
