Marsha Schmutz

Marsha is a nurse I hope to become like one day. She exudes positive attributes and exemplifies the mission, vision, and values of CoxHealth with an enthusiasm that amazes me! I have witnessed her professionalism with our patients and have seen her put them at ease with her thorough and complete descriptions of everything from patient rights to CAT Calls. She can teach them how to do anything they’ll need at home, she is excellent with anything having to do with patient care.

I enjoy learning from Marsha! She is one of the few nurses that takes time to show me how to do something. She answers my questions without missing a beat and she seems happy to do so. Marsha is patient when I ask her questions and I am always comfortable approaching her. Whenever I have a concern about a patient she always listens to me and doesn’t ever blow me off. She makes me feel valued as a member of the team.

I believe the DAISY award is perfect for her; Marsha is such a wonderful asset to CoxHealth. She is a great nurse to work with and I feel she deserves to be recognized for her work.
