Mary Hanson

I have worked with Mary Hanson for the past 12 years and have always regarded her as an excellent nurse. I have been inspired by her extremely competent skills as an RN. She has great assessment skills and clinical knowledge which makes her a great resource in our unit. Mary is always calm and she possesses a great deal of patience to work with the most challenging of our patient population. I consider myself so fortunate to work side by side with someone like Mary, who truly inspires other nurses to be the best that they could be as RN's. She is such a great example for new nurses that she precepts. She truly deserves to be a DAISY Awardee. 

Mary epitomizes all of the best elements of nursing, both the art and science of nursing.
Mary serves as a charge nurse and preceptor and is a primary resource for all staff for clinical questions. She has recently accepted a position in which she will be a clinical instructor for UW students and will fortunately remain on 6EH as well.

Mary is simply the best and inspires all around her.
